Inventum
From a local trading company to a leading, professional organization with three consumer brands
Introduction
Inventum has been around for more than 115 years and is a household name in the Netherlands. Yet when O2 Capital Partners came on board in 2012, the company was still relatively small: a solid but underappreciated brand with growth potential in the entry-level and mid-range segments of the home appliance market. O2 Capital Partners came on board as an engaged shareholder and strategic partner, focusing on refining the value proposition, optimizing working capital, and ensuring profitable growth.

In summary
Following O2 Capital Partners’ investment, the brand portfolio was expanded to include the iconic Tomado and Carmen brands, which provided greater scale, reach, and commercial clout. By consistently focusing on clear brand positioning, healthy margins, and targeted refinancing, a solid and profitable foundation was established. This led to record revenue of approximately €130 million in 2025, with 90 FTEs.
As the icing on the cake, in 2025 Inventum purchased its own building in Arnhem, which—after a complete “makeover”—will be put into use in 2026. A tangible symbol of the growth achieved together over more than ten years.
